Hi
Buying a vw swb caddy 2019 2.0l, hasn’t had cam belt or water pump changed and it’s done 68k, is this ok or should those jobs of been done?

Re: Water pump
That's more or less exactly the mileage my water pump went at

Re: Water pump
Ummmmm my 2005 caddy's TB serval interval is every 75 k miles - newer cars are longer (e.g. 2015 polo is every 130 k miles), so there's no reason why it should have been done...
In my experience (I've changed many TBs on caddys/VWs and also got to work on them after a TB change has been botched) I wouldn't change the TB outside of about max. 10 k miles of the service interval unless I'm doing something else there or fault codes (possible exception if the car is often being used to pull heavy loads). Even VW dealers sometimes cause problems when doing such work, which of course, they deny was them.
