Help identifying

Hello,

My first post! Have browsed this forum quite few times in the past, one of the friendlier forums I’ve come across with a mine of knowledge from caddy enthusiasts. I’ve decided to join the club, hope that’s okay! Currently in a black VW Golf mk5 GT Sport in leather which I’ve had for many years. It’s been a great motor but I have my heart set on a caddy maxi now.

Anyways, looking around I have found this example which I’m after some clarification on. It’s ticking lots of boxes for me but I’m confused by the spec. On the ad it states it as the uplift model. Did they mean the facelift? I can’t find any information on uplift, making me think this is incorrect.

However from doing a reverse google image search there are other examples in reflex silver with the same alloys and red grille accents. Which is confusing me even more as that would then imply this is a particular edition I’m not aware of and not a trendline or highline with some modding.

If anyone can clear it up for me I’d be grateful! Thanks Sam

It might help if we know the year it is meant to be.

Looks like a MK 4 that has had some aftermarket additions.

Thanks and you are correct, it’s a mk4 high line with a few mods.
16 plate, my bad wasn’t sure about posting regs.
Been lowered a bit, alloys and the red bits AFAIK.
Looking at maxis online for a while, hoping to view this and couple others at weekend.
Bit disappointing it isn’t a MFSW, when it’s the Highline trim…. Nor have fog lights?! Is this actually a Highline

Maxi kombi seems like a bonus to me, not a dealbreaker but saves a job plus I like the idea of the folding middle bench.

Are there any other VAG leather seats that are a direct swap and will fold just like the middle 3 seats that already come on the kombi?

Also are there any commonly known reasons or issues not to be looking at maxis kombis?
Instead finding a clean maxi and convert.

I decided against this motor and the Kombi option. Went for mk4 Highline 150ps 6spd. Only a 14hour round trip XD
