Spent the last few.... Well....weeks redoing all my interior racking. Pulled it all out a week before the wrap with the intention of having it all back in soon after but with work being as busy as I was on the run up to Xmas i only had the odd day here and there.
Spent a good 4 solid days on it now and finally got it done, I admit iv gone a bit overboard Image, less tilers van more mad Max's van!
But really happy with it I'm so pleased to finally have a place for everything again!!
Just need to get a new headliner sorted and the back is done.
Onto the finishing the front now!!

Also been playing about with a new interior light for the front this evening, using a sheet of frosted acrylic mounted under my speaker box in the bulkhead, with a led strip inside. Wasn't 100% sure how it was going to look, but just offered it up and it looks good!! Something to keep me busy tomorrow ImageImage

Today was the time for the inox paint protection on the sliding door. The Roller already was through the paint but not the primer. After only 4 years.

Looks incredible! What did you use to secure your battens below the false floor? I'm planning on installing crates for the dogs and want them secured down so the way you've gone would be ideal.

My aftermarket reverse sensors have been playing up, beeping constantly even when there’s nothing in the way. I’ve removed one and got the manufacturer and part number from it. I’m going to remove them one by one and see which one(s) have gone faulty.
Although at £65 for a set of 4 I might just change the lot.
Oh and I pulled my back getting up from lying down on the floor! That wouldn’t have happened when I was 25!

Did a few things recently. Upgraded the light switch to one that can do the auto lights, fixed the cracked third brake light, did my first ever oil service myself (which has incidentally stopped occasional oil lights and EGR related errors, weirdly), and replaced one of the barn door latches and cleaned the other one, which seems to have fixed my random alarms. Locks all round seem to be showing their age, passenger side door is a bit sticky and the sliding door needs a look too. That said now, those are the only little issues that are lurking at the moment, which is nice.

Must be due some kind of catastrophe

The van has had to go, after 2 years of big bills I've had enough and it's been traded in for a nice sensible estate. Got to say this forum has been a godsend and the knowledge base that you good people have is amazing. It's a shame, the van is great to drive and with the few mods I made through my ownership made it a comfortable space to be in but I just can't keep paying out.

I've got a handful of parts I purchased through COVID and never got round to fitting so I'll be putting some sale posts together in the next few days
