2011 1.6 tdi caddy van rear wheel bearings

Does anyone know which size wheel bearings I need please or where I’m to measure I’ve been told there are two sizes 30mm and 32mm but I’m not sure which bit to measure to find out. I was getting a really bad grinding noise from my rear breaks when I depress the break pedal so I ordered new discs and pads was about to replace them all. Then I started getting a grinding noise when the break pedal wasn’t depressed but I was turning to your left and the noise is definitely coming from the rear both when I break and slightly turn left now. So I Google it and rear bearings where mentioned but as with parts it’s never as easy as entering your reg and off you go as I found there was three different sizes of rear break disc for my van now I’m being asked what bore size 30mm or 32mm for bearings be so much easier is there was just one size eliminate the pit falls. I’m a diy mechanic at best can anyone shed any light on the subject including things to look out for when changing rear bearings and which I might need please.

Speak to the parts dept in your local VW main dealer, give them your reg/VIN and they will tell you exactly what part you need with part number.

The outer hub and bearing are an assembly, it's not simple to just change the bearing itself as it's pressed into the hub. You change the outer hub assembly as a unit on each side.
