Post by sibow »

Hi guys. I sold my car about half a year ago in order to get the van for my business. Since getting it i havent stopped messing with bits! :D

work carried out so far:

18'' BBS calito split rims, face in dark metallic grey, lip in silver
full JL sound system inc 2x10'' w3 subs, c5 components, 1000/1 amp and a 300/2 amp
fully dynamatted the whole inside (roof, doors, bulkhead, floor etc)
poineer double din head unit
carpeting throughout

work will be doing:

slam it! looks like a 4x4! will be doing that asap!
colour coding all round
new seats

cheers, Simon

Welcome,
I'm looking to lower my van soon. Also thinking about carpeting the back aswell, be interested in seeing how you've done yours.

cheers! probably a bit ott with the dynamat, but is nice and quiet inside, and you can hear every bit of music. yeah its definitly loud enough! cant have it too loud at night or it just saps all the power from your lights! how low can i get it to sit? i want it so its scraping! (make it easier to get my mower in and out the back you see ;) ) Si

update on the van: i was hoping to have it on coilovers by now, but then these babys came along! they are jl audio w7's and they are about 4 times louder than my old ones. it was alot of work to make them go in, due to them being too heavy and deep to go behind the seats like the old ones did. so i had to cut 2 holes in the bulkhead for them in their boxes. while i was ripping the van to peices, i insulated the whole rear floor then put a rubber carpet down to keep those rattles at bay! i have also cleaned all that salt off the inside of the wheels and painted the calipers while the wheels were off. :D simon
