they could do but if they get pulled over the defect would be more then the rego , but in staying that aslong as you go to the lowest legal height you wouldnt really need to go any lower or just add air bags

i,ll tell you the situation.i,m emigrating to perth dec 28 (sorry another pom) i have been looking on ebay for a while now and found a bagged minitruck but its in sydney. the options were to drive it or ship it (obviously)i was wondering how i go on when i come to re register it in western oz and was hoping you may have shed some light. what you said already i,m much wiser but do you know any problems i might have because its on air . ?

No major dramas to re register in WA , however if it is sitting on its sills and has massive wide wheels , it will not pass rego anywhere in Oz , yes you can return to standard to get pass rego then change back however if it is to radical the Garda/Police will get you

does everyone just run the risk then? sorry to keep asking but you seem to know a little bit more than other people i,ve asked. would a caddy go through rego lowered on coilovers and maybe some 8j wheels? if not do you just swap the wheels for standard, when it goes to rego? then swap back again?

I see what some of the lads have done over in the UK and think "awesome" and that is what the Police think when they start writing all the defect notices.
Lowering and wide wheels are permitted but not to extremes.
