Thanks Doc and thank you also for the advice you've given in other threads - I'd have been utterly stalled without your input!

Are these a straight fit onto the caddy bases?Gixer375 wrote:Fitted Golf MK07 seats.... took a while to scrub and valet them... like new under the dirt & grime.
On caddy bases, the touran bases jacked them up too much to be comfortable.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
So it wasn't as straightforward as I would have liked. I had to cut some lugs off of the golf seats. They lined up with touran bases just fine, but after fitting the seats with touran bases they were too tall for me ( it's the golf seats not the touran bases that were the issue)
So I redrilled the caddy bases to make the seats fit ( you can see where factory holes are), with no issues with height and because I have the poverty model caddy I had no electrics to mess around with.....

Successfully fitted cruise control and mfd stalk and coded to my 64 plate caddy what a bummer getting that steering wheel off though! Only problem is now the steering wheel is rubbing on the cowling behind

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Finished off the wiring, and got the front end re-assembled. Also replaced all the filters and fluids, so everything is nice and fresh. It now starts and runs (very smoothly I must say
) without me having to juggle electrical connectors
and no MIL light either!. I had planned on using the front bumper from the Touran but I didn't like it, so went back to the standard Caddy bumper - I really like the commercial look for some reason
.
I also put some black mesh behind the lower section of the bumper - not because I'm a huge fan of Max Power (remember that??) but because the old condenser had most of the fins missing from stones etc. so I bought a new one (the Touran one was holed). Hopefully this should protect the new one a bit.

Now all that's left to do is fit the new wishbones and droplinks, new rear ABS sensors, new lambda sensor and wheels, then it's time to book the MOT!

looks good, you did make sure to have exactly 1 screw left over though for the van gods?
