well i decided today was fitting of the centre console and armrest. and what a job that was. first up, strip it all down, so its easier to install. i tried to do it nicely, but it just wasnt playing, so i ripped the back and vents, and cup holder off the back, its easy to strip once all that is off :D

picture of the outer shell, v the old one.

Image

the innards, are then in 2 parts, the front part, and the rear part with the armrest attatched

Image

so i started by trying to fit the rear armrest part. about an hour or so of faffing around, i couldnt figure out how to attatch it to the handbrake lever
Image

as from pics ive seen on here, there should be a bolt on the handbrake lever to bolt it to. well i didnt have this
Image

well, i then found this in the ash tray when i got it from rudey lolo

Image

Image

fitted

Image

chopped up the rear because of the bulkhead. and all done

Image

tried to fit it all without cutting the rubber and the carpet, it didnt work  had to take it all out again, to cut it up

Image

touran frame bolted in, then time for new seats :D i collected from a business on ebay called "motors in motion" for £50

Image

well, dont use them is all i can say. absolute scammers!! its not until i tried to fit them, that the drivers seat didnt quite line up. not sure why, so took it out, and the seats obviously been in an accident  advertised as very good condition

Image

this is the mechanism that raises and lowers the seat, you shouldnt see this as the metal panel its attatched to should be straight, and not bent like this

Image

giving the seat to a friend whos a fabricator, to see if he can do anything with it :(

so i had to put the standard drivers seat back in, so it looks like this at the moment

Image

will update when the other goes in :D

electric windows next i hope 8)
