Do you know the part number for TPS? Tried a search and can't find it.

Is there a "how to" on fitting these rail covers? Are they simply bolt on, or is there more involved??

There's a little to it you'll need to make a bracket that sits inside of the sliding door so it can be secured and the back is just a push clip you can use the clip that you take off the plastic piece if you still have it I do have a template for this bracket

You don't always need to make the bracket, usually 09 plate onwards already have them, Reflex Auto Design sell a bracket that is made for it if you can't make one.
As already stated TPS or VW for the cover, part number is in the useful part numbers thread, about £35 I think.

Do you have to change the rail aswell..? Only reason I ask is because on RAD's website it lists the package as 'rail, cover and bracket'.

I don't think you have to change the rail, I hope not as I am hoping to fit one soon as I think these look so much better. Mine is a 2010 pre face lift so I am hoping it comes with bracket.

The reason people change the rails is because they have clips on them for the cover to clip to, your original won't. I've seen people on here say that they've put a blob of adhesive on the rails instead but I've no experience of that. I don't think the rails are too much money to buy?

i cut and bent some steel (around 2-3mm thick) you need to bend it into a L - V Shape then i used the original back clip and a blob of adhesive, took me about an hour to perfect it but saved me monies

i bought my rail from the local VW dealer

, think it was £43
