Street-Off road hybrid

Post by ElFaunoSoñador »

Got a MK3 Caddy from 2008 which I'm working on.
It's sometimes my inter-city means of travel, but more often my lovely adventure camper. Cheap in mileage, discrete, and comfortable both for minimalist camping... and parking.

Currently almost all stock, except:
-Cruz Evo Rack
-WRD wind & rain deflectors
-Modular camperization with a metal frame bed that allows huge bottom storage, designed specifically to be able to keep rear seats folded, and in case of need, move the metal rack and cushions to carry up to 4 passengers.

Planning to add:
-Tiny solar panel on top with secondary battery system
-Jerry can metal frame on rack
-Skid plate. Seen some that have a removable square plate in the sump bolt area, so to change oil easily.
-Some more off-roady tires (I'm skillful like it is, though I'd definitely thank those! ). Currently summer road 195/65/R15's. Any suggestions?
-Don't know if I'll need fender flares to avoid excess mud, dust & rock projection when offroading. Gotta check out!
Also thinking about repainting it to more earthy colours, with a fluid topographic-style design. Little by little!

PS: I've seen this lift kit for a higher ground clearance:

Any opinions/suggestions? Thank you!
