Got an ACC error on MFD after seats were taken out.

Post by David81 »

Now then all,

I was wondering if anyone else has come across this when removing seats.

I bought some Touran carpets for the caddy and finally got a half decent day to fit them.

So I disconnected the battery first, removed the seats and disconnected the electrical wiring under them, (black, blue and a yellow one) it’s a startline very basic with airbags on a 2019 plate.

All done and reconnected battery, all seems good apart from I’ve got this ACC error on the dash.

Surely it can’t be a coincidence?
What could I have done to bring this up I’ve literally only put the seats out and in again and just plugged the wires back in under the seats, all with the battery disconnected.

I’ve taken a pic of dash to show the symbol that comes up, better than me trying to explain! Image

Thanks.

Take it for a drive or turn the steering wheel through a few full rotations.

Happens when the battery is disconnected.

Cheers Nick,

I have driven about 30 miles now and its still on, I did hope that would be the case but wondering now why its still not gone off.
I haven't done the steering wheel through a few full rotations though so I'll give that a whirl when I'm next out, I'll come back on here let you know if ihat sorts it. cheers mate.

So been on another long drive, still not gone from the dash.

I did try the full lock numerous times to see if that would do the trick but still there.
I'll disconnect the battery again and reconnect it see if that makes any difference!?!

Nothing seems to have changed so its not a deal breaker just bloody annoying having it up on the dash.

Been a while but I did try taking the battery terminal off again and putting it back on to see if that worked.
Unfortunately not still got the symbol on the dash, don’t suppose anyone’s got anymore ideas?

Thanks
