My TDI PD 1.9 BLS blew up and I am doing the ASZ to BLS conversion (moving all of the BLS hardware onto the ASZ block), as is outlined in this guide:
https://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/ ... onversion/
The above guide suggests you upgrade to turbo and boost pipes to a kit that costs more than my van is worth so I'm sticking with the stock turbo. It's almost all back together but I've run into into the forewarned issue of the right-hand side intercooler boost pipe clashing with coolant pipe which runs to the oil cooler.
Has anyone here done this conversion and overcome this?
I've test fit the battery try and air filter box, and I feel like there is a just enough room above the gear linkage but It's a hard pipe and it'd be a pretty hefty bend to get it to do that. I am also wondering if I a pipes shape could be change with a careful use of a heat gun.
Any ideas please let me know, I'll also try and get some photos when I go to the garage this evening.
