I can't believe I'm the only one with these requirements so thought i'd ask and see what radios people are using which have the following:
1. Apple Carplay (wired is fine!)
2. bluetooth
3. aux in (3.5mm)
4. Uses reverse sensors
5. Must have a physical volume knob!
With the exception of point no.4 I've found that the Sony XAV-AX1005DB ticks all the of boxes. I might get it and install a reverse camera.
Alternatively, there are all the RCDxxx units. Which I am very weary of. The Caddy currently has some sort of generation of this product made by "XTRONs" and it is total crap. Slow, Satnav doesn't work. Bluetooth doesn't work. Radio doesn't work. Amp sounds HORRIBLE.
On paper something like the RCD330 or 360 is what I need... but I who actually makes these? How do I know if I am getting a good one?

For the RCD units, speak to a guy called Moody YSM on Facebook. He's a member of most of the VW groups and the products he sells are fantastic. I had one of his units in my caddy and couldn't fault it.
