@petrev looks good mate, was initially wondering why it was worth all the effort, but seeing the opposite sweep it looks great!

Watched my brother-in-law de-gas the AC system, replace the pressure switch and re-gas the system, now have lovely ice cold AC

Always nice to get Ice Cold AC

I refitted my new Rain/Light sensor with black VHB and a porthole.
Much nicer.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Finally !
Is it just me ? Probably.
Got rid of the stupid baby seat warnings from my LHS sun visor
.
And relax.
Why don't they just put a warning sign on the baby seat ?
Why make everyone look at the stupid warning when ~99.999% of journeys are made without a rearward facing baby seat in the front passenger position
(Statistic for illustrative purposes only)

Not today, but this week I put in an induction kit, and an air freshener.
Induction kit with the remap seems decent. Not sure if I want to go to the effort of a BOV but tempted to get a larger air intercooler though.

Took the dash out, Touran is 90% in. To do:
* Worry that the steering will be straight because I forgot so mark it.
* Glovebox
* Bent bracket on drivers side
* Recirculation flap motor fix or replace
* Fight with trh A pillar trim

Disassembled every panel and trim above the dashboard. Then scuffed it up, painted with plastic primer, acrylic paint ( RAL7024 grafite grey) and the 2k matt clear coat. Hope the colour will match with all the other trim panels. Didn’t like the two tone interior with light colours.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Cut off one section of the rear axle bump stops. They were so close the van practically sat on them all the time. Not a lowered suspension, but I replaced old tattered bump stops with a set that were too long (I did not know at the time you could get them in different lengths, an,d they were described as being suitable for my vehicle spec). Basically, once we were sitting in it with two people the van just rode on the stops and bounced all over the place at the slightest undulation or tiny ridge, like an asphalt repair patch. Got us back pain.
It's a lot better now, the car has some travel again and rides more comfortable. And it was thanks to this forum I found that many people just cut off a bit to maintain some travel when they lower their suspension. Meaning they can actually be shortened without risk. So, thanks guys!
I have no ramp or lift so it was a bit of a hassle on my back under the car. OK on the left, more of a wrestle on the right where the exhaust sits in the way. My pot belly sat pretty tight under the side. Hum. But I got it done without needing to jack it up and take the wheels off one by one. Used a pruning saw as the new stops are heavy duty PU ones weighing a pound each, not thin rubber like the originals...

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Made a new rear inner barn door panel for the smaller door using some 6mm ply,
Then added a trimmed own Molle back seat storage thing and spaced it using 20mm spacers. nice bit of storage space. Can't upload a photo at the moment Flickr is having a moment.

Well, I’ve actually done nothing thanks to Direct Line, was about to change my std 16” wheels to 18s, only to be told that they cannot insure me if I make the change FFS
